PPR secures planning approval for 13 new homes in Norwich

PPR Estates (PPR) is delighted to confirm that planning approval to create 13 new apartments has been granted in Haymarket, Norwich. Converting the vacant offices into much needed homes above the flagship Mountain Warehouse store will create further city centre vitality and deliver PPR’s regeneration vision for the site.

This prime city centre site has come a long way since PPR acquired it after Topshop closed its doors in 2021; with a mix of new retail tenants now in situ (Mountain Warehouse, Cornish Bakehouse & Subway) and a regenerated Hay Hill Square alongside all helping to secure a viable future. This type of sensitive mixed-use regeneration is the kind of added value placemaking that PPR aim to deliver to the benefit of all stakeholders.

Jon Caplan, Managing Director of PPR Estates, commented: “It has been a protracted planning process, but we are very pleased to have secured approval for 13 new homes out of these dis-used offices. Meeting the Nutrient Neutrality requirements is disproportionately challenging for city centre regen sites like this but a local solution is now in-place at last. By unlocking the mixed-use potential of this under-used high street site, PPR are adding value and vitality to Norwich.”
