PPR secures planning approval for Guildford regeneration project

PPR Estates is pleased to confirm planning approval has been granted for the regeneration of the uppers to the new Joe & the Juice store on Guildford High Street.

The approved plans sensitivity enable the conversion of the vacant, class E, uppers to create 5 luxury apartments with over 4,500 sq ft combined area, private amenity space and a separate residential entrance on Chapel Street. The development will protect the Grade II Listed features of this notable building and increase the vibrancy of Guildford town centre by creating 5, much needed new homes, from this currently redundant space.

Jon Caplan, MD of PPR added: ‘We are excited to bring this redundant space back into valuable use as 5 high spec flats. Having secured Joe & the Juice as a tenant for the viable retail space on the ground floor last year; PPR look forward to repurposing and restoring the uppers of this Listed property. Many high streets suffer from similarly under-used uppers these days. This development fits perfectly within our ESG and urban regeneration mission by sensitively re-purposing existing buildings wherever possible.”

Town Centre investment

PPR owns and manages over 60 commercial sites and premises in various High Street locations across Southern England, as well as a significant residential portfolio. We are focused on mixed-use, town centre regeneration to meet the flexible needs of modern society, whilst creating value. PPR has substantial funds available for further acquisitions and investment.
